Gates equipment

We are a leading UK specialist in the repair and maintenance of American made Gates broadcast equipment from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The Gates Radio company was founded by Parker Gates in Quincy Illinois USA in 1922. The company produced high-end broadcast equipment that became extremely well regarded in the broadcast industry, especially so with their broadcast consoles/mixers. Examples of these consoles were used by the offshore broadcaster Radio Caroline from 1964, using a MK3 Studioette Console until 1980 and then a Dualux console from 1983.

Olie himself owns and maintains a 1964 Gatesway console and a 1966 Producer console. He has even custom made a Studioette console using solid state electronics.

We are able to undertake full repair and refurbishment services for all valve Gates equipment.

Below you will find some examples of our previous work, including the re-commissioning of a Gates Level Devil audio leveller which had not been in use since the early 70s.
